Aphrodite vs Venus


Aphrodite: Aphrodite is the Greek goddess of love, beauty and sexuality. Aphrodite has been said to                      be born from the white foam of Uranus's genitals as he was thrown into the sea.                                    Aphrodite is Zeus's daughter. She was always depicted as beautiful and her job was to                          spread beauty and love everywhere.


Venus: Venus is the Roman goddess of love, beauty and sexuality just like Aphrodite however,                         Venus was also the god of victory and fertility unlike Aphrodite. Venus was born from the                   foam of the sea and rode a clam-shell into land. Venus's job was to bring victory in wars,                     spreading love and increase agriculture rates.









Similarities:
- Both goddesses are depicted as beautiful and seductive women
- Venus and Aphrodite are both gods of love, beauty and sexuality
- Both husbands of the goddesses are both ugly and loved the goddesses so much they built them that     made showed their beauty or made them prettier

Differences:
- Venus is also depicted as the god of fertility, victory and vegetation
